Celebrating Independence Day!
I pray you have a blessed day full of family, spectacular celebrations, and lots of red, white and blue...all with gratitude in your heart to God.
Founding Father John Adams was one of the foremost proponents for America's independence, and later became our second president.
A leader known for integrity and honesty, he was never afraid to speak out.
I want to honor him and share a couple of his quotes for us to ponder.
“I am apt to believe that (Independence Day) will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forevermore."
“Posterity! You will never know how much it cost the present Generation to preserve your Freedom! I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven, that I ever took half the Pains to preserve it.” -- John Adams
May we "make good use" of our freedom with all wisdom from above.

Pray with me: Father, I thank you for America. Your Kingdom come, your will be done. May our country be true to the values it was founded upon. Deliver us from evil and raise up leaders full of integrity, honesty, and a love for you and your Word. We praise you, God Almighty.
God bless you and God bless America!
